The story behind Weierken
Product knowledge came before the company name.
Founder Angie grew up around her family’s bag factories. That early exposure made materials, construction and factory communication familiar long before she started Weierken in 2006.
Customer projects revealed a recurring problem: custom bag development often became difficult because product decisions, factory execution and buyer communication were handled separately. Weierken’s working model developed around keeping those parts connected.
Today the role is still practical—understand what the bag needs to do, make the open decisions visible, build a sample that can be evaluated, and carry the approved result into production.
Mission
Make custom bag development easier to navigate.
Act as a useful extension of the buyer’s team: ask the questions that reduce later rework, recommend a route that fits the product, and keep approvals connected to production evidence.
