“Same as last time” is not a complete reorder instruction. Artwork, material references and packaging can change while the product name stays the same. Give Weierken a controlled reorder pack so the quotation and production review refer to the version you actually want.
Compare the previous reference with the new request
Begin with the earlier order reference and the approved drawing, not a marketing photograph alone. Confirm whether the construction, capacity, color, logo and accessories remain unchanged. List each change in a separate row, even if it appears minor.
Check the references that can age independently. A stored physical sample may have faded, a retailer may have changed a barcode format, or an accessory may have a new part revision. None of these should be silently copied into the next order. Ask for confirmation of current component availability and any proposed equivalent.
A worked brief you can adapt
| Decision | Example brief | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| Bag body | Retain drawing R04 | Confirm current materials and closure |
| Artwork | Replace old logo with file V02 | Placement proof and application review |
| Retail label | New barcode supplied by buyer | Scan check against buyer data |
| Packing | Keep six selling units per carton | Confirm unchanged packed configuration |
Turn the review into an actionable request
In this illustrative example, the bag body is unchanged but the artwork and retail label are not. Release those two decisions explicitly. Calling the entire job a repeat order would make it easier to miss the new barcode or use an obsolete logo file.
Weierken’s customization work covers the bag and its finishing details. Ask for a change summary with the updated quotation, then keep the agreed summary with the new order. Where a component changes, identify whether fit, appearance or verification needs to be repeated before approval.
For the connected specification, use our sample revision control. Send the completed brief through the Weierken project inquiry form, including your company, work email, phone, product and quantity. Ask for any unresolved item to be listed separately in the reply; a proposal is not an approved production instruction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a photograph of the previous bag replace the specification?
It can help identify the product but cannot establish hidden material layers, dimensions, tolerances or approved parts. Include the previous order reference and controlled documents.
Should an unchanged reorder use the old quotation?
Request confirmation of current pricing, availability and delivery terms. An unchanged design does not mean an earlier commercial offer remains valid indefinitely.
